Grivel Tech Machine

The Grivel Tech Machine is a, you guessed it, technical ice axe that works best for alpine, hard Scottish mixed, and steep ice climbing. The Tech Machine's shaft and blade are both T-rated to offer the best strength and durability possible, with its Ice Blade being tapered to offer excellent penetration, even in brittle ice, yet being strong enough to tackle mixed sections with ease. The new handle has been designed to be more comfortable and insulating than before, and the spike on its base aids when topping out routes. The balance of the Tech Machine is neutral to provide the best all-round performance possible, but replacing its Ice Blade with a Mix Pick makes it more top-heavy and more efficient on longer routes and ice that's hard to penetrate.
