The idea for this company came from 2009, when Pete Whittaker and Tom Randall decided to make it their mission to climb the world's hardest off-width cracks. With notable ascents such as Cobra crack and the first ascent of Century Crack (the world's hardest off-width), they were dubbed the WideBoyz and even had a film made about them (it's worth a watch).
The idea to make crack volumes came from Tom's legendary crack cellar, where many hours of graft have been put in. After making off-width cracks with questionable craftsmanship and negligible thought for health and safety - they decided to go professional. The company has made crack climbing commercially available across the world with their comfortable and aesthetic volumes, allowing you to get your crack fix at your local gym.
